Age of Sail Museum

The rich ship building tradition of the Parrsboro shore was founded in safe harbours and waterways created by our geologic past. At Port Greville, protection was afforded the shipyards by the fault scarp on the Greville River.

Geological Formation: Cobequid Fault
Age: Carboniferous (350-300 million years)
GPS Coordinates: 45.414177, -64.552922
Directions: Turn onto highway 209 just north of Parrsboro. Continue west towards Advocate. After entering Port Greville, continue down the hill just past Parsons Road. the Age of Sail will be on your left after rounding the turn at the bottom of the hill.
